Catalyst Presented: Successfully Launching Your Company in the U.S.

What…
Israel Venture Capital Association, in cooperation with
American Catalyst LLC (“American Catalyst”), presented “Successfuly
Launching Your Company in the U.S. Marketplace.” American Catalyst
is an “incubator” focused on accelerating the development cycle
of promising Israeli B2B e-commerce startup companies. Wholly-owned
by The A Consulting Team, Inc. (“TACT®”) (Nasdaq: TACX), American
Catalyst offers all the services necessary to “Americanize”
foreign technology start-ups, dramatically reducing the learning
and adaptation curve, and minimizing time-to-market. Since 1983,
TACT has provided IT services and solutions to Fortune 1000
and other large organizations.
When and Where…
The event was held on Thursday, July 6, 2000, at the Sheraton
Tel Aviv.
The Program…
The event was honored by the presence of: "T.S." Tong
Soo Chung, Acting Deputy, Assistant Secretary for Service Industries,
Finance of the U.S. Department of Commerce; Mickey Eitan, a
member of Israel’s Parliament and the Chairman of the Internet
Committee; and Arie Scope, Chairman of Microsoft Israel. The
keynote speaker was Yossi Vardi, well-known Israeli business
leader and entrepreneur, founding investor in Mirabilis, the
creator of ICQ, and Israeli “Internet visionary.” Vardi lectured
on “The New Internet Economy: Truths and Misconceptions,” which
focused on how the Internet is the economy of the future.
Other
speakers included: Shmuel BenTov, CEO, Chairman of the Board,
and President of TACT, and Chairman of American Catalyst, who
described how American Catalyst can simplify and shorten the
process of being successful in the U.S.; and Ido Ophir, co-founder
of Always-On, Inc., (formerly LightPC.com), who described how
Always-On benefited from American Catalyst’s services.
